After a 60° washing of the wool clothes here are the results....
The goal was to find a wool fabric that shrink to obtain a nice texture.
So I've found that out of all fabrics I've tested the "panno" and "cooked wool" shrink but only a little bit (the two swats on left). The gauze shrink of about 50% and give a wonderful controlled texture (swat on bottom right).
On top right there is the test with felting yarn. It shrinks lovely but it's not really controlled and leave lot of lint on the fabric and I don't want to spend hours removing it
Gauze seems not to leave lint.

Now I can see tons of possibilities for my textile art ^_^ I'm so happy!
